Michael Weinstock, a founding member of the firm, has been practicing in Atlanta for over 30 years.  Instrumental in the establishment of the firm, Michael has led the litigation practice group from the firm’s founding days and has driven and fostered the firm to maintain a diverse litigation practice. Michael’s practice covers a plaintiff and defendant practice in all forms of commercial litigation, real estate litigation, personal injury, domestic litigation, wrongful death, and professional negligence.  He has tried to conclusion more than one hundred and thirty jury trials, and had engaged in hundreds of motions and thousands of depositions throughout the United States, both in federal and state courts.

Michael has succeeded in obtaining seven figures or more monetary results for clients in 25 cases through trial or alternative dispute resolutions such as mediation or arbitration. As well,  he successfully pursued and won the landmark case of Franklin v. Gwinnett County in 1992, a United States Supreme Court decision pertaining to Title IX involving sexual discrimination of a high school student in Gwinnett County, Georgia.  This was the first case involving allegations of sexual harassment following the rigorous hearings and appointment of the Honorable Justice Clarence Thomas.  As evidence of his wide-ranging practice, Michael also achieved the reversal of an erroneous conviction of a Japanese National following incarceration for five years, which reversal resulted in the client avoiding deportation to a country in which none of his family remained and has achieved significant successful results in business disputes, domestic cases, personal injury verdicts and settlements, real estate and title matters and trade practice litigation involving both private and governmental parties.

Michael received his J.D. degree from Tulane University in 1976, as well as his B.A. degree in 1973.  He is admitted to practice in Georgia, Florida, Illinois, New Jersey and New York and has handled cases in over 25 states.
