I was very nervous when I first called this firm about possibly filing for bankruptcy. I was doing an online search about bankruptcy and found an article about benefits of a bankruptcy that linked me to the website of Wadhwani & Shanfeld. I called the 800 number and the assistant went through a few questions with me about my situation and was able to schedule an appointment to meet with Raj that same week. I am not a big fan of huge office buildings and downtown but the Long Beach Office was right off the freeway and the building was easy to get around. When I met Raj I was so impressed at how much he knew about law and i felt like i was in good hands. I ask a lot of "what if" questions and he had an answer for all of it. it made me feel comfortable. I have not filed yet but i have retained their office and they are helping me every step of the way to get my paperwork ready. I never felt good seeing and personally handling my case by Atty Raj. My phone calls and email have been greatly attended to by himself in which all fees I would say would be of no importance if you will have your case with this group due to their diligence and dedication in follow up as well as the courtesy of all the associate whether we go to office or make phone calls. I am happy to say I received exceptionally good customer service from Raj Wadhwani & his legal team. I used to have a credit score of 760+, but I began to fall behind on my mortgage payments. It came to a point where it became necessary for me to consider filing a Chapter 13 bankruptcy to prevent foreclosure of my home. I had been receiving flyers/solicitation letters for some time in my mail, but I did not feel very confident about the credentials of the senders. I therefore did a Google search for a 'bankruptcy attorney' and refined it further to 'board certified bankruptcy attorney'. I found their website professionally done and that made a good impression on me. So I made an appointment with Raj and we discussed my financial situation to confirm that Chapter 13 was indeed the right option for me. He then provided me with a check-list of documents I needed to put together for filing Chapter 13. I gathered the documents and after a week made a second appointment and this time we posted the details into the computer to process my Chapter 13 application and arrive at an estimate of my plan payment. Karine successfully handled the motion to strip the second mortgage, since the value of the home had fallen well below the amount I owed on the first mortgage. A month later I had the 'Notice of Hearing' in which my plan payment was approved. I was able to keep my home & car and am now making reasonable monthly plan payments and will hopefully have my debt discharged in five years. Since my financial future was at the cross roads, what also influenced my selection was the attorney's credentials. Ultimately everyone has to make their own due diligence & weigh all their options. I did not know what chapter to file and other attorneys told me the wrong Chapters in order to make more money out of me. My wife and I want to thank everyone at Wadhwani & Shanfeld for saving us after having had our bank accounts seized, paychecks garnished by 25% and liens put on our home. When I met with Greg he explained all of our options and what the possible outcomes for each option would be. After we carefully decided on the best course of action he and his staff handled all the necessary information requests, filings and court deadlines with perfection. In particular Chantal's work on our case was outstanding especially when the Trustee suddenly wanted to increase our base amount percentage owed, extend our payment plan by 16 months and raise our monthly payment to an amount that we never could have handled. Her successful motion to the bk judge on this action by the Trustee had us go from owing more, increased payment amount with 16 additional payments to having most of the remaining debt removed from our case and the shortening our plan by almost a year so. I am happy to say I received exceptionally good customer service from Raj Wadhwani & his legal team. I used to have a credit score of 760+, but I began to fall behind on my mortgage payments. It came to a point where it became necessary for me to consider filing a Chapter 13 bankruptcy to prevent foreclosure of my home. I had been receiving flyers/solicitation letters for some time in my mail, but I did not feel very confident about the credentials of the senders. I therefore did a Google search for a “bankruptcy attorney” and refined it further to “board certified bankruptcy attorney.” I found their website professionally done and that made a good impression on me. So I made an appointment with Raj and we discussed my financial situation to confirm that Chapter 13 was indeed the right option for me. He then provided me with a check-list of documents I needed to put together for filing Chapter 13. I gathered the documents and after a week made a second appointment and this time we posted the details into the computer to process my Chapter 13 application and arrive at an estimate of my plan payment.
